Q: If I don’t have a family physician can I visit a My Option™ clinic?
A: Yes. At a My Option™ clinic, you will be treated by our medical staff for your minor health care needs. However, if your health care needs are beyond our scope of practice you will be referred to a local physician or emergency room. If you do not have a local physician, My Option™, will give you a referral to a local physician.
Q: What can I expect at a My Option™ clinic?
A: You can expect personal, one-on-one contact with the healthcare provider. Before being seen by the clinician, you will be asked to fill out paperwork, which is used to provide basic information on who you are and a brief health history. Following, you will be taken into a private, patient room where you will receive the care you require. If required, lab work or other screenings will be ordered. Following the exam and diagnosis, the provider will prescribe medication if needed or suggest you see a physician for follow up care. Because minor ailments don’t require an extensive examination, most patients are seen and treated in approximately 15 minutes.
Q: What is considered a "minor" healthcare need?
A: Minor healthcare needs are those common ailments that are not emergencies or chronic problems.
Q: When should I not use a My Option™ clinic?
A: You should not use a My Option™ clinic for emergencies such as chest pain, broken bones, deep cuts or more serious, chronic medical conditions that require attention from a medical doctor. Patients should not use a My Option™ clinic for routine medical monitoring for problems such as diabetes management, depression, and osteoporosis.
Q: Can I receive a prescription for medication from My Option™?
A: Yes. Both nurse practitioners and physician assistants can prescribe medication and will prescribe medication when it is medically necessary and within the scope of practice.
Q: How do I make an appointment at a My Option™ clinic?
A: No appointments are necessary. My Option™s clinics see only walk-in patients. Our commitment is for every patient to be seen within 15 minutes. Since our clinics are located in retail areas you do not have to wait in a waiting room, instead you can peruse the store in which the clinic is located.

Q: Do you accept insurance?
A: Our goal is to keep your medical care as affordable as possible. Although we do not accept insurance at this time, our fees are usually slightly higher than insurance co-payments.
Q: What is the cost of these services?
A: Office visits vary at each facility; however, the average cost is $50. If additional testing is required, minimal lab fees will be applied.
Q: My child is sick, does My Option™ see children?
A: Yes. Children 12 months of age and older can be seen for minor healthcare issues at a My Option™ clinic. All children under age 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
